Survivor returned with a bang this season, and it brought back all the thrilling survival politics audiences love. Through their very first challenges, the two teams — the Volkai Tribe and the Lorai Tribe — are already beginning to expose their strongest and weakest players Based on the first episode alone, viewers are predicting who they think will win this season, and these Survivor Season 39 cast fan favorites will give you an idea of where most of their confidence lies.
The premise of the show is the same as it's been for 38 seasons, but this time there's one small change. Legendary Survivor winners, Boston Rob Mariano and Sandra Diaz-Twine have returned to the show, but this time around, they're not competing for a prize. Their sole purpose is to mentor the newbies, and they'll be popping in throughout the game to teach them the skills and strategies they need to win.
Along with delivering the charm, wit, and expertise you expect from Rob and Sandra, the season's first episode revealed some notably strong players. Survivor fans took to Reddit to analyze the players, share their opinions, and name their favorites so far.
Janet Carbin — a 59-year-old chief lifeguard from Neptune, New Jersey — may have seemed like an underdog at first, but her strong performance and remarkable skills turned her into a fan favorite by the end of the episode. 'Janet is the Subreddit's first Player of the Week this season,' Redditor RSurvivorMods wrote after compiling numerous fan picks for the first week. 'She defied stereotypes about older women on Survivor, coming roaring out of the gate and making her tribe fire without flint, and followed up with a strong performance in the challenge.'
Elaine Scott — a 49-year-old factory worker from Woodbine, Kentucky — is another cast member that won over fans with her kind and genuine nature. 'Elaine actually has a lot going for her,' wrote Reddit user SargeantShaahk. 'She's super sociable, she performed well at the challenge, and she's embracing Kellyn's gut and running with it. I think Elaine is naturally good at reading people and that's an excellent attribute to have in this game.'
Creating bonds and alliances is probably the most crucial strategy players need to make it on Survivor. Fans recognized how 60-year-old former Canadian NHL player Tom Laidlaw was able to make allies in the first week, and some pointed out how well he was able to keep his calm in such a high pressure situation. 'I like Tom a lot,' wrote Redditor TheCrimsonKnight. 'He seems well positioned and wise. Hopefully he goes deeper in the game.'
Some viewers picked Tommy Sheehan — a 26-year-old teacher from Bayville, New York — as their favorite, citing his likeability, and his way of connecting to people in such a genuine way. Friends bingo ottawa amounts and numbers. 'Everyone loves this guy and it is plain to see why,' wrote Reddit user Turtle_and_Zone. 'Likeable teacher type who seems down to earth, is attractive and athletic looking without being the most buff guy out there. Go get 'em Teach.'
It's still too early to predict if any of these fan favorites will win Season 39, but if they can hold up to the scrutiny of Survivor fans, they may be worth keeping an eye on.

For this blog I will be listing my top ten favorite Survivor Series matches, also it's not just traditional Survivor Series matches if anyone is confused, now onto the list
(10) Team Hogan vs Team Andre (1987)
Kicking off this list is the main event of the first Survivor Series show, this was a solid match to end the show, just looking at who's on both teams and you'll see some top notch guys in there. The thing I loved most about it was the booking of Bam Bam Bigelow he was booked as the babyface who just refused to quit even when it was a 3 on 1 advance he fought till the end and while he came up short in the end he still tried. That's another thing about this match Andre's Team wins, I know that doesn't sound strange but you gotta think back to this time period, heels never won the main event of a PPV basically old Hollywood good guys win crowd leaves home happy so I respect the decision of having the heel team win.
(9) Psycho Sid vs Shawn Michaels (1996)
Number nine on this countdown is a hi very good match between then WWF Champion Shawn Michael's defending against Psycho Sid, Shawn was able to carry Sid to a very good match and while Shawn was the babyface in the match, he wasn't cheered much unlike Sid even though a heel was loved by fans with the crowd popping when he won his first WWF Championship, even though he would lose it not long after at the Royal Rumble this is still easily his best match and number 9 on this list.
(8) 20 Man Tag Team Elimination (1988)
Number 8 on this list is a 20 Man Tag Team Elimination match and it was great, so many great teams in there including The Hart Foundation, The Rockers, Brain Buster's, Strike Force, British Bulldogs and other teams, the match is pretty long though I'd say over 40 minutes or around that time and does tend to get boring at times but don't let those small flaws keep you from watching this great match.
Who Wins Survivor 40
(7) Bret Hart vs Shawn Micheals (1992)
Number 7 on this list is WWF Champion Bret Hart defending against the recently crowned Intercontinental Champion, I thought this was a great match with great action and some slow parts in there to build up when they had faster ones. This match isn't remembered as much as the 1997 one and I understand why considering what happened at that show. I highly recommend checking it out you wont regret it.
(6) Diesel vs Bret Hart (1995)
Number 6 on this list is a great No Disqualification match between Bret Hart and Diesel, Diesel always had his best matches with Bret and this is no expectation. This wasn't like the No Disqualification matches you see today with a bunch of weapons and stuff they didn't use that much which made it better, Bret targeting the leg of Diesel was great and Diesel playing his role perfectly, and that table spot looked beautiful, if you haven't already seen this match go watch it.
(5) Elimination Chamber (2002)
Now it's time for the top 5 part of this list and number 5 is the first ever Chamber match, I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record but this was great, each man was a former or future World Champion at that point. It looked great, had some great spots and Shawn Michaels would win his last World title which was a great moment. Only bad thing about this match is when RVD does a 5 star frog splash off a Chamber onto Triple H but his knees went into his throat that looked had but even that doesn't take away from this match.
(4) Brock Lesnar vs Daniel Bryan
Number 4 on this list and the most recent one here is a fantastic dream match between Brock and Daniel, the first 10 minutes or so was just Daniel getting murdered and looking like a traditional modern Lesnar match but then it happened, Daniel goes down low and after that it picked up perfectly no longer a squash match and giving Daniel some offense in there. The roles here were odd cause technically both were heels but Daniel was cheered which isn't too surprising considering he's one of the best babyfaces of all time and the crowd isn't gonna cheer Lesnar over him. Overall a great match go check it out.
Who Is The Favorite To Win Survivor
(3) Team WWF vs TEAM Alliance
Who Is The Favorite To Win Survivor 2018
Number 3 is the ending of the terrible Alliance storyline and while that may have been shit this match certainly wasn't, had great drama and action, every wrestler in there was a top star or soon to be. I know I didn't say a lot about it but trust me it's great go see it.
(2) Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Bret Hart (1996)
2nd to last on this countdown is an underrated classic between these two that doesn't get enough praise, Bret really elevated Austin to the star he would become with their feud. This had great action and storytelling both looked great in there and the crowd was hot. It's a shame this match isn't praised as much today unlike the WrestleMania 13 one. You already know what I'm gonna say so just go do it
(1) Team Austin vs Team Bishoff (2003)

(1) Team Austin vs Team Bishoff (2003)
Finally to the number one spot and in my opinion the greatest Survivor Series match is Team Austin vs Team Bishoff, the story being if Austin's team lost he has out of the company. The drama here was fantastic when it was Shawn fighting against 3 other guys showing great babyface heart and while like Bigelow at number 10 on this list he'd come up short he fought till the end. I love this match again I Highly recommend it.
